The club would like to start a junior bowling team. If you are a parent, grandparent, guardian or carer of a young person over 7 years of age and they would like to have a go contact Graham Hall on 07512 767072 or Janet Holroyd on 01484 718349.
It is hoped to run training sessions on Saturday mornings. If there is sufficient interest teams would be formed to play in the Huddersfield Junior League, again on Saturday mornings.
You may not be able to introduce a child but still may want to be involved.
Could you spare some time to help or have you a set of bowls that you could donate or loan to get this project started?
Club members from Rastrick Bowling and Social Club visited St John’s C.E. Primary Academy, Clifton to give the pupils a ‘taster’ in bowls. They learned Crown Greens, grip, delivery and bias. All the children enjoyed themselves and were each issued with a certificate. The club is prepared to do similar sessions with other schools who should contact the club direct.
